There is a conflict waging around us.
We are all involved.
On one side are ordinary people trying to go about their lives in peace.
On the other the servants of imperialism, advancing the illusion of utopia in their attempt to exploit the world, misleading with their statements, distracting with their propaganda, and highlighting differences to keep us divided. They fill mainstream media with misinformation, public opinion their primary target.1 They do not only impact the lives of people in faraway countries, but also those closer to home.2
“If you are neutral in situations of injustice, you have chosen the side of the oppressor” – Desmond Tutu.
Pieces of Resistance is my small contribution to this conflict. It attempts to counter the narratives of imperialism by questioning mainstream propaganda by using facts, figures and critical analysis.
It is too easy to accept the narratives offered by those in power and their mouthpieces in mainstream media. Instead, Pieces of Resistance seeks to cut through the veil of lies and false assumptions to reveal the hidden conflict and the truth behind the official narrative.

You will see one thing I really hate is hypocrisy from those with power. For example, Westerners blaming Palestinians for the violence inflicted upon them because they fight against their occupation. ‘Why can’t they just live in peace?!’ One of my earliest posts explains why I support Palestine, and why I don’t consider it hypocritical supporting it while remaining silent on the other conflicts. Read it here.
A goal of this blog is to provide an analysis of global topics which are presented in the media incorrectly or too simplistically. One of my favourite posts on this explains why I think Iran’s nuclear activities are not the cause of the dispute between Iran and the West, despite what we’re continuously told. Find it here.
